Components
| | Steering Steering utilizes the Blade3D Visual Programming System. They allow you to quickly apply forces to a vehicle (i.e. Active Rigid Body) using a visual program. This means you can get convincing AI behavior for background entities with very little effort. An example would be a character wandering around, avoiding obstacles while trying to stay away from you.
| | Physics
As standard Blade3D integrates a comprehensive physics simulation system. This includes support for active and static rigid bodies, joints, force fields, physics materials, collision pairs and more. Additionally, the character control system utilizes the physics system for locomotion, collision detection and projectiles.
| | Timeline
Creating cut‐scenes by animating the camera path is often a challenge when building a game. Blade3D now provides a unified timeline based animation system that allows you to key any property (including complex types like materials and textures) on to the timeline. You can use the animation toolbar to quickly key object or camera SRT with a single click.
